Big O May Be Habs' Home For Future Outdoor Game

As first reported to me yesterday by Pat-with information from TSN today

The Montreal Canadiens are attempting to organize an outdoor game as part of their 100th anniversary celebrations at the Olympic Stadium.

For the event to go down, the Big O's roof needs to be removed.

An Olympic Installations Board spokesman said the game would have to be held during the period when the roof is to be redone. No dates have been set for the construction work.

Contrary to early reports, team spokesman Donald Beauchamp denied reports that the game would be held on December 4th, 2009; The Habs' 100 year anniversary, to the day. "It will not be Dec. 4," he said. "There's no specific date, but it's not that one."

No word either on who the opposing team would be.
