Sundin's Meeting With Gainey "Positive"

Mats Sundin met with Bob Gainey on Saturday to further discuss the possibility of Mats signing on with the Habs.

According to Sundin's agent J.P. Barry, the meeting with Gainey was "very positive", but Mats remains undecided.

Barry said that Gainey explained to Mats why him playing for Montreal would be the right fit for both parties, and it seems that Sundin was further intrigued.

Gainey explained to Mats that if he wanted to retire, he should; but if he was unsure, he should play, as the emotions would soon follow.

Sundin has not given a deadline date for a decision, but he did promise to do it as soon as possible. I would expect the decision sometime next week, a few days ahead of training camp.
