Former Canucks center and current free agent Brendan Morrison has agreed in principle on a one-year deal worth $2.75 million with the Anaheim Ducks.
Pavol Demitra is rumoured to also be on the verge of signing; it appears that his signature will be on Canucks documents.
UPDATE: Demitra went on record today saying: "The Canucks are my #1 choice." Canucks GM Mike Gillis was his agent once, and they are good friends. "I want to play for a team that is going to win, [one] who is going to compete for the playoffs and the Stanley Cup."
Not so sure if the 'Nucks will even make the playoffs this year, Pavol...but best of luck to you.
